A forward-thinking educator, innovator, and leader with 32 years of experience supporting learners with technology.
Director of Digital Learning & Innovation | CETL® | Instructional Strategist
With 30 years of experience in educational technology, I have transitioned from the classroom to district leadership by staying grounded in one mission: leveraging technology to unlock student potential. As a Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL®) and a Master’s graduate from Lamar University, I specialize in building scalable digital ecosystems that support both teacher efficacy and student success.
My Journey
My career began 30 years ago in Killeen ISD, where I moved from a Computer Lab Aide to a 4th-grade teacher, and eventually into campus and district-level technology leadership. Today, I serve as the Director of Digital Learning and Innovation at Copperas Cove ISD.
Every day, I bridge the gap between complex technical infrastructure and classroom instruction. Whether it’s navigating the digital transformation brought on by the events of 2020 or implementing modern blended learning frameworks, I am constantly setting new goals, building strategic relationships, and addressing the challenges of the modern digital landscape.
Life Beyond the District
While my professional life is dedicated to innovation, my personal life is centered on family and wellness. I am a proud mother of two accomplished daughters: Rhianna (25), who is serving our community as a Registered Nurse, and Juli (23), who is currently earning her certification as a midwife.
I am happily engaged to my partner, Rick, and we enjoy staying active together. You will often find me on the pavement; distance running is my “sanity saver” and my primary way of maintaining mental and physical health. When I’m not running, I’m likely at a rock concert, fueled by the energy of live music!
